September 21, 1937 – January 2, 2009
Donna was born at St. Joseph’s hospital to one of the original pioneer families. She spent her life here enjoying the valley and raising her family.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Jim; her children: Gayle (Andy), Stewart (Trudy), Debbie and Gary (Gail); her grandchildren: James (Jodi), Gina (Brock), Cale, Devan, Rebecca, Cole, Ian and Kim; great-grandchildren: Ella, Quinten, Lily, Oliver, James; her mother, Helen and sisters: Noni (Red) and Marilyn.
Donna was predeceased by her father, Victor Parkin and her brother, George.
The family wishes to thank all the staff at the ECU of St. Joseph’s hospital for all the wonderful care and kindness shown to Donna during her time there.
A Celebration of Donna’s life will be held at Piercy’s Funeral Home, 440 England Avenue, Courtenay on Saturday, January 17, 2009 at 1:00 pm.
