Webber - Doreen Margaret, a resident of Glacier View Lodge, passed away on Monday, July 17th, 2006. Predeceased by her husband Les, brothers: William, Ronald, Cyril and Glyn Cottingham; her sister Beryl Grieve and her parents William and Mary Anne Cottingham. She is survived and will be dearly missed by her sons: Ron (Lorraine) of Courtenay, Ken of Victoria and daughter Joy (Paul) Beaulieu of Victoria; grandchildren: Donna, Deanne, Brian, Steen, Dustin and Aaron; great-grandchildren Michelle, Matthew and Gracie; sister Phyllis Johansen and many nieces and nephews. Doreen immigrated to the Valley from Wales in 1927, met Les in 1935 and were later married. She was a member of the Pythian sisters for 50 years and the Women’s institute in Lazo for many years. In her leisure, Doreen enjoyed cooking, sewing, knitting, camping and singing, but her family and her home were her greatest love. A Service of Remembrance in Celebration of her life will take place on Saturday, July 22nd at 2:00pm from COMOX VALLEY FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION, 1101 RYAN ROAD.
