Doris, a resident of Laurel Lodge, passed away suddenly on Monday, October 27th, 2003, aged 76. Doris is survived by her loving family, son David (Wendy); daughters: Merilyn (Dave), Linda (Tom), and Terry (Denis); 11 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; her brother Bob (Marge); and her extended family. Doris realized her dream of becoming a florist late in life, working in both Port Hardy and the Comox Valley.
She was a great outdoor enthusiast, who particularly enjoyed golf and boating, as well as a good game of bridge. Her family would like to sincerely thank the staff at Laurel Lodge for their wonderful care and kindness during her stay. A Memorial Service will take place from All Saints Roman Catholic Church, 821 Fairfax, Coquitlam on Saturday, November 1st at 11:30 am.
