Passed away peacefully at the age of 96 in Comox on May 4, 2017. Doug is predeceased by his devoted wife of 67 years, Marcia, and son, Roderic. He is fondly remembered by his daughter-in-law, Gail. Always quick to credit his longevity to fish and chips, Doug missed his friends at Salty’s Fish & Chips, White Rock, and was looking forward to the return of Surfside Fish & Chips at the Comox Dock. Thank you to Dr. Jonathan Kerr, and the wonderful doctors and nurses at Nanaimo General Hospital and St. Joseph’s General Hospital. Private Family services to be held at a later date.
