MADSEN
Edith 'Bysser'
Edith passed at home on the afternoon of April 13th, 2008. It was a beautiful day, she was surrounded by her family and let us know she was at peace when she went.
Edith was well-known and respected for her extensive volunteer work at the hospital and thrift shop.
She was a determined woman who added beauty and grace to the world - through her music, her garden, her beauty salon and everything she did.
Edith had many chapters and adventures in her life; Growing up in Denmark, moving her family to Kitimat, retirement in Smithers and the Comox Valley. She enjoyed many trips to Europe, Mexico and Hawaii.
She was a true cosmopolitan and a great appreciator of the arts, a lover of books, movies and literature. You really could talk to her about anything.
Edith's life, smile and humor are continued by her husband Orla, her 2 children, 5 grandchildren, her brothers, her in-laws and extended family, her great-grandson and many friends near and far. Edith 'Bysser' Madsen's life was beautiful from beginning to end.
We will miss you "Mama".
