McKay, Edna Ada
1913 - 2002
Edna Ada McKay, aged 88, passed away peacefully at Glacier View Lodge on Tuesday, October 22, 2002. Predeceased by her husband George in 1957; she is survived and will be dearly missed by her sons: George (Margaret) McKay and Robert (Gloria) McKay, both of Thunder Bay, Ontario; daughters: Christina Egeland of Victoria and Carole (David) Autio of Black Creek; several grand- children, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; her sisters: Nina Godecki and Zella (Ray) Lehtovaara, both of Thunder Bay, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Edna spent most of her life in Thunder Bay and Pass Lake, Ontario, moving to the Comox Valley 3 years ago. A Service of Remembrance will be held from the CHAPEL of COMOX VALLEY FUNERAL HOME and CREMATION SERVICES, 1101 Ryan Road, on Saturday, October 26 at 2:00 pm, with Father Joe Killoran, officiating, followed by fellowship and refreshments in “The Garden” room of the Funeral Home.
