CHARPENTIER, Edward Paul

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Edward Paul Charpentier (February 15, 1983-October 20, 2010). Born in Comox, he lived his life on Vancouver Island, touching many lives with his quiet, warm sense of humour and caring devotion to the ones he loved.

Edd’s passions were music and cars. He was a dedicated bass guitar player, playing in from Nanaimo to Courtenay. He loved nature, and particularly enjoyed bonsai gardening when he wasn’t working on cars.

Edd is survived by his father, Franc Charpentier, and step-mother, Bev O’Hara from Union Bay; his mother, Lori, and sister, Yvonne and her family in Nanaimo, and step-siblings, Jason in Nanaimo, Brad and his family in Surrey, and Sarah in Vancouver.

A memorial service was held at Piercy’s on October 25. Donations can be made in his memory to the Link Centre in Courtenay.

Memorial donations towards the music program for youth at the City of Courtenay Link Youth Center, attention: Kathy Collins, 300 Old Island Highway, Courtenay, BC V9N 3P2 would be appreciated.
