Edwin Christopher (Jake)
JACOBSON
January 28, 1917- February 8, 2004
Passed away with peace and dignity, surrounded by the love of his family at St. Joseph’s Hospital on February 8, 2004.
He is survived and will be dearly missed by Rose, his loving wife of 58 years, as well as his three daughters: Lynne (Rob), Diane (Doug) and Sharon (John); seven grandchildren: Cindy, Shannon, David, Michael, kelly, Heather and Jennifer and six great-grandchildren: Reece, Megan, Payton, Angelina, the two Tylers and his faithful dog Sooty.
Jake was born in Minnedosa, Manitoba, joined the RCAF before World War II and trained as a pilot. He was stationed in Claresholm, Alberta where he met his perfect match and future bride, Corporal Rose Holdway.
Jake and Rose enjoyed a full life together for 26 years in the RCAF and resided in many places, including Moncton, North Bay, St. Hubert, Chatham and finally Comox where they retired and built their own home at Bates Beach.
Jake enjoyed the outdoors and had many interests. He loved fishing, hunting and golf, but he was especially fond of the time he shared with his family and friends. His life touched many. He will be well remembered as a loving father and husband, a proud grandfather and a good friend.

s life will take place in Courtenay at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 17, on Friday, February 13 at 2:00 p.m.
