HRYKO, Eleanor Rose (nee Milburn)
December 5th 1935 – April 20th 2010
Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great- grandmother lost her courageous battle with cancer on April 20th 2010.
Eleanor was predeceased by her parents Joseph & Ada Milburn & grandson Christian Hryko.
Eleanor will be dearly missed by her loving husband of nearly 55 years, William.
Sons: Joseph (Laura) Michael (Sandra). Grandchildren: Michael, Megan, Jodie, and Dillon, great-grandchildren: Nathaniel, Nicole and Lucy.
Her siblings: John (Ann) Milburn, Gus (Lois) Milburn, Ickle (Bert) Brown, and brother-in law Peter (Rosine) Hryko, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Eleanor was happiest when she was surrounded by her family, especially times spent at their cabin at Comox Lake. It was here she could be found working on her garden or playing games of cinch with her grand-kids.
Eleanor’s family would like to send a heart-felt thanks to Dr. Eva Hemmerich as well as the nurses on the 3rd floor at St. Joseph’s Hospital for their exceptional care and devotion.
At Eleanor’s request there will be no funeral service.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
