JENSEN, Elisabeth Emilie

March 12, 1918 ~ October 16, 2010

Lisl was born March 12, 1918 in Munich, Bavaria. In 1954, Lisl and Ernst, one son and three daughters took the courageous step to immigrate to Canada to build a new life in Comox where two more daughters were born.

Lisl was the center of the family; a professional photographer and outstanding artist (painting, ceramics), musician (violinist), table tennis champion, yodelling, skier and gardener. You name it she did it. Lisl touched many people with her smile and generosity.

At age 92, Lisl's vitality and love of life ended peacefully on Saturday, October 16, 2010. She was predeceased by her husband Ernst and her son-in-law Imre and grandson Imre (Kicsi). She will be fondly remembered by Sig & Martha, Heide & Harvey, Heimke & Rick, Rike & Bill, Gudrun & Ken, Claudia & Ron, and her grandchildren Natalie, Carmen, Sandra, Colin and Monika, as well as the great-grandchildren Sage, Emma, Bella, Mikah and Kai.

Lisl will be sadly missed by all; the pottery and sports club, her music group, her old friends from the Black Creek area, and so many more as she touched so many lives.

Special Thanks to the caring workers at the Comox Valley Senior's Village and Dr. Potter-Cogan. A service will be held at the Kingdom Hall, 1581 Dingwall Road, Courtenay, November 1, at 1:00pm followed by a Celebration of Life at the Best Western The Westerly Hotel, 1590 Cliffe Ave., Courtenay November 1, 2010 at 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
