MacLennan, Elizabeth (Bessie)
March 9, 1913 - May 19, 2006
Dear Bessie passed away peacefully at the age of 93, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Comox.
Bessie was predeceased by her sister “Phemie” in 2002, and will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her cousin Joan Findlay, and her family, Suzanne and Gary Dodd, Cameron and Logan, Kiara and Garrett of Nanaimo, Elizabeth and Brett Campanelli, Ashley and Teresa Findlay and Brock McEachern, all of Calgary. As well as the families of A. McLintock from California and R. Lithgow from New Zealand.
I am sure there are people in Courtenay that will remember Bessie and Phemie walking to town to do their shopping as they did for many, many years.
Very Special Thanks to Dr. William Naaykens, Home Care Support, the 3rd Floor staff, as well as Ocean View ECU Caregivers at St. Joseph’s Hospital. To Ethel Bryant, a friend of Bessie’s for more than 60 years - without her untiring help, caring and encouragement, Bessie would not have been able to stay in her own home as long as she did. Thank you so much Dear Ethel from all of us.
All arrangements will be handled by Piercy’s Funeral Home in Courtenay.
