1925 - 2017

of Courtenay passed away peacefully on the 7th of March at St. Joseph’s Hospital.

Born on 1925 in Wimmer, Saskatchewan to Eva and David Cronk. Elvin worked as a building contractor in the Comox Valley. Following that he worked for twenty years as a building inspector for the City of Courtenay, never missing a day of work. Elvin made wonderful handcrafted children’s toys. He never lost his keen sense of humour right to the end.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Rona Cronk (nee Findlay), his children, five grandchildren and extended family.

A memorial service with the Reverend Ryan Slifka officiating, will be held at St. George’s United Church, Courtenay on Thursday, April 13th, at 3:00pm
