Emily Martha
October 7, 1917 - February 11, 2008
Emily passed away peacefully in Comox, BC on February 11, 2008 in her 91st year. Emily was predeceased by her husband Walter in September 2007, her sisters Betty and Marie and her brother Albert. She is lovingly remembered by her daughter Val Anne, brother-in-law Bob (Helen) and nephew Brian (Gwyneth) as well as her extended family and friends.
Emily was a very accomplished pianist and organist and in her youth won many awards. Her passion for music extended into her senior years and some of her most treasured memories were of the days with the "5 after 5" dance band. She also loved to entertain at Glacier View Lodge, the Royal Canadian Legion and various home care venues.
In accordance with Emily's wishes there will be no funeral. A gathering of her friends and family will take place on Tuesday, April 22, 2008 at 2:00 PM at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #160, Comox, BC.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the SPCA in Emily's memory.
