Passed away suddenly at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Comox, BC. Predeceased by son, Robert Kine (2000), son-in-law Moray McKay (1990), and his two brothers Buster and Phil Kine (2000).

He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Mary; his three daughters: Linda McKay, Barb (Ross) Emery, and Ruth (Arlo McCubbin); his daughter-in-law Karen Chappell; his grandchildren: Muskie, Sam, Alix, Mary, Laura, Matt, Pam and Cara; great-grandchildren: Bryan, Jordan and Lesha; his two sisters: Ruth and Pearl; and his brother Jack. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and 3 sisters-in-law in Canada and USA.

Bud served overseas from 1940-45, served as president of RCL Branch 256. He worked in construction and spent his last 23 working years in #3 Woodroom.

Uncle Bud fixed everything and enjoyed spirited discussions on any topic with family and friends. For many years he supervised camping and fishing trips with a large extended family.

There will be a Tea of Remembrance, Saturday, April 23, 2005 in the Bill Woods Room from 2:00-4:00 pm at the Union Bay Hall. Flowers gratefully declined anyone wishing to donate in Bud’s memory to the BC Lung Association, 2675 Oak St., Vancouver, BC, V6H 2K2 or the Pythian Sister’s Cerebral Palsy Fund, PO Box 3064, Courtenay, BC, V9N 5N3 would be greatly appreciated.
