Ervin Bunkowski
1921 - 2009
Ervin Bunkowski, aged 88 years passed away peacefully on Dec. 24, 2009 in the Comox Valley Seniors Village in Courtenay, BC where he was so lovingly cared for.
He is survived by his wife and soul mate Olga, married for almost 65 years, his son Gordon and Geoffery his Grandson whom he loved dearly. Geoffery’s mum also, who never stopped loving and caring for his Grandma and Grandpa. He is survived too by sisters Alma Maglio and Erna Simpson and brother Lloyd (Pat) Bunkowski and many nephews and nieces.
Ervin was predeceased by his parents: Gustav and Mina, his brother Alex, his sisters Bonnie Gassner and Lucy Hass.
Ervin enlisted for active service as a Bandsman in the Royal Canadian Naval Reserve. He was a machinist by trade and loved the outdoors, music, golf and travelling.
Gods promises never fail and we will be reunited again in his time.
A private family farewell was held in Piercy’s Mt. Washington Funeral Home. Your donations in Ervin’s name would be greatly appreciated by St. Josephs Hospital.
