Evelyn Alfreda, aged 93, a resident of the Extended Care Unit of St. Joseph’s Hospital, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 12th, 2005. Predeceased by her loving husband Harold Judge; son Harold Frederick “Nickie” and daughter Jane Winship, Evelyn is survived by sons: Harry of Gatineau, Quebec, Joe (Rosemary) and Frank (Barb), both of Halifax, and Phil of Comox; daughters: Millie McCharles of Comox, Clara Shaw of Courtenay, Marie Hardaker of Bridgewater, N.S. and Shirley Fong of Halifax; as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and her nieces and nephews. In her leisure, she enjoyed crafts, knitting and quilting. A gathering of family and friends will be held to celebrate her life on Friday, February 25th at 2:00 pm from Comox Valley Funeral Home and Crematorium, 1101 Ryan Road. Should friends wish, donations in Evelyn’s memory to one’s favourite charity would be appreciated.
