Frank passed away peacefully at the Campbell River Hospital after a long battle with cancer with his wife Vera by his side. He is predeceased by his father and mother Jacob and Justina; his sisters: Stella and Maria; and granddaughter Avia. He is survived by his wife Vera; sons: Troy, Daniel, Nathan and Owen (Jen); daughter Misty (Jason); Vera’s children: Vikki (Rob), Julie and Philip; grandchildren: Gregory, Brayden, Nicholas, Myles, Alyssa, Joshua, Emma, Dana, Tristan, Julia, Jonathon, Delanie, Jorja, Dominic, and Emily; brothers: Jake (Helen), Peter (Marilyn), John (Lori), and Ricky; sisters: Betty (Wayne), Anna, Eva (Gary), and Elsie (Rick).
Frank, the 5th of 11 children was born in Langley, B.C. A strong man with strong character, he was happiest outdoors. He was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman, who enjoyed sports. At home when his powerful hands weren’t embracing his grandchildren, they were lovingly tending his garden. Above all, his passion in life was sharing with all his love for the Gospel message.
A Celebration of Frank’s life was held on Tuesday, January 2nd, 2007, at the Christian Life Assembly in Campbell River. Island Funeral Services/Elk Falls Crematorium Campbell River, entrusted with arrangements.
