Gisela Agnes Irmgard
It is with deep sadness that the family of Gisela Agnes Irmgard Witthoeft announces her peaceful passing on January 9, 2008, at the Oilfields General Hospital in Black Diamond, Alberta, with her family by her side. Gisela was born in Wulfen, Germany on May 13, 1922, to Ilse Anna nee: Muller and Eginhard Wilhelm Augustin. She immigrated to Canada with her husband Armin and three young children in 1954 to Edmonton, AB, later moving to Devon, AB. Then spending the last 28 years in Comox, BC. Gisela is predeceased by her loving husband Armin (1999) and brother Wolfhard (2006). She is survived by her loving children Frank (Lee) Witthoeft, Victoria, BC, Rudy (Chris) Witthoeft of Comox, B.C., Ulrike (Kerry) Kerrison of Dewinton, AB, Thomas (Lynda) Witthoeft of Comox, BC. Along with eleven grandchildren: Jeffrey, Colleen, Corina, Patrick, Brett, Meleah, Tracy, Katy Lyn, Ryan, Max and Karl. Also two great-grandsons: Elliott and Alec.
Our beautiful mother is remembered in many ways small and large, not the least of which for her sweet nature and playful sense of humor. A Celebration of her life will be held on Friday, January 18, 2008 at the Comox Valley Funeral Home, Ryan Road, Courtenay, BC at 2:00 pm.
