Gordon Harry Whitehouse
passed away on February 3, 2002 at the age of 70 years after a courageous battle with cancer.
A loving husband to Lois, father to Carol (Don, Derrick, Charlotte), Jim (Cathy, Andrew, Taylor) and Geoff (Alison) and loyal friend, he will be dearly missed by family, friends and the MAX.
Gordon was predeceased by many hundreds of hapless salmon and cod that ventured too close in the Strait of Georgia.
The family would like to thank all the friends who made an effort to contact Gordon throughout his illness. The family was deeply moved by the magnitude of the support shown to Gordon.
The family would also like to thank the staff at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Comox for their wonderful care, compassion and service.
A memorial service will be held February 11, 2002 at 2 p.m. at Piercy’s Funeral Home in Courtenay.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or St. Joseph’s Hospital in Comox.
