It is with great sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Gordon at St. Joseph's Hospital in Comox.

Gordon was born and raised in Carmichael, Saskatchewan. He was a Korean War Veteran. After his military service, he re-located to what he claimed was the most beautiful place on earth., Vancouver Island, For many years, he worked at Island Copper Mine in Port Hardy as Drill and Blast Supervisor. He also served as an Alderman on the District of Port Hardy Council and contributed tirelessly to the Lions Club and Legion there.

He is survived by his best friend and loving wife of twenty-five years, Susan, of Comox. He was predeceased by his daughter Shauna. Gordon will be greatly missed by his daughter Donna Campbell , of Surrey, his son Robert and family of Port Hardy and his son Michael and family of Courtenay. He also leaves to mourn, his sisters Lois and Marlene and their families in Alberta. His step-sons Brent Mottishaw and family (Port Alberni) and Paul Mottishaw and family (Quadra Island), as well as Susan's brother and sister-in-law and mother, will fondly remember him.

His walking buddy, his Springer Spaniel Max, is still sitting by the door waiting for his Dad to come home.

There will be no service at Gordon's request. A celebration of life for family and friends will be held at a later date.

If you wish, in lieu of flowers, a donation to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Alzheimers Society of B.C. would be greatly appreciated.
