Waterfield, Harold Edwin
Harold passed away in Cumberland on July 4th, 2003 at the age of 79 years. Harold, affectionately known to all as “Bucket”, was the youngest and last surviving child of Rose and Harry Waterfield. He was born and brought up in Cumberland, and after many years in Vancouver, returned to the Island that he loved. He was an avid outdoorsman, and especially treasured the time he spent hunting and fishing at Comox Lake. He was also an enthusiastic and dedicated Mason and Shriner.
Harold is survived by his loving wife, Pat; 11 nieces and nephews, 32 great nieces and nephews; and 37 great grand nieces and nephews, who will miss him greatly. He is fondly remembered by all for his cheerful and generous nature, and his kind of humorous stories.
The family would like to thank Dr. Tancon, the staff at St. Joseph’s Hospital who were involved in his care, and the nurses and other staff at the Cumberland Health Centre.
According to Harold’s wishes, there will be no service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cumberland Health Centre. Piercy’s Funeral Home in care of arrangements.
