Ken passed away peacefully at the Campbell River & District Hospital on February 16, 2006 after a short illness. Pre-deceased by his wife Kay in June 2005, parents and brother Billy. Lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his family: daughter Joan, son Gord (Sheila), grandson Michael (Melyssa) and sister Margaret (Doug) of Campbell River. Also missed by close relatives: Jack (Daphne) Cariou, Dorothy DeCosta, Kay Holmes and Herb Pidcock of Victoria, Dick (Helen) Pidcock of Courtenay, Tom (Phyl) Pidcock of Parksville, Don (Marie) Westwood and Eric (Linda) Westwood of Ladysmith; nieces and nephews Linda (Stirling) of Victoria, Barb (Jim) & family of Nanaimo, Bill (Laurie) & family of Calgary, Alta., Steve (Sigrid) of Grantham’s Landing and Nancy of Parksville, as well as other family and many good friends.

Ken worked at Elk Falls mill for many years as a pipefitter, then Fire Chief, before retiring in 1988. He had numerous interests and hobbies and was an active member in the Campbell River Gun Club, Black Powder Group, Ripple Rock Gem & Mineral Club, K-40, Antique Group and the Oyster Bay Park Association. He also enjoyed hunting, playing poker, trips to the casino and morning coffee at the Ideal Cafe.

A Celebration of Life will be held on February 27, 2006 at Sequoia Springs Golf Course, 700 Petersen Rd., Campbell River, BC from 2-4p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
