Irene Gwendolyn (WILLIAMS)
November 6, 1930 - January 25, 2009
Former resident of the Comox Valley; a long time resident of Richmond, BC and very recently of Stettler, AB.
Born November 6, 1930 in Corbin, BC. Irene died January 25, 2009 after a brief stay in Stettler Hospital and Care Centre, Stettler, AB.
God knew what we didn't, that cancer cells had invaded her body again. It was hard because we were not aware, and not ready but can now accept that in His infinite love and mercy He chose to take her Home.
She was predeceased by her father Arthur D. Williams, 1964 and mother M. Kathleen (Coote), 1993; niece Carolyn Williams, 1994 and her brother Llewellyn (Lyn/Chuck/Red) Williams of Woss, BC in 1999.
Irene is survived and much missed by her sister Joyce Dargie of Courtenay, sons David More, Nanaimo, and William More (Gloria), Stettler, AB; her very much loved and missed grandchildren who were a big part of her life in Richmond: Chantal, Amanda and Travis of Burnaby, BC; and also Chelsea, Tyler and Alicia of Stettler, AB; and an uncle, Wesley Coote, Lancaster, PA. She is also survived by 4 cousins and many nieces and nephews.
A family gathering to inter Irene's ashes will be held in July 2009.
