Annand - Iris Cathleen (Watt), born in Bevan, B.C. on March 6, 1922. Iris passed away peacefully at home on August 23, 2004.
Predeceased by her husband Alex, brothers Jack, Bob and Andrew Watt, sisters Isa Winger, Bessie Lefley and Peg Coulson.
Iris will be sadly missed by her son Bruce (Trudy) of Gold River, daughter Linda Saretzky (Lawrence) of Red Deer, AB, grandchildren Shivawn, Troy, Sean and Tonya, great grandchildren Kurestin, Bailey, Kaylene and Travis, her many nieces and nephews and close friends.
Iris was a very popular and well-known florist for many years in Courtenay. Her joy of working with flowers stemmed from the many hours she spent with her father in his greenhouse and spilled out into her garden.
A Celebration of Iris’ life will be held at the Upper Elks Hall, 231 - 6th Street, Courtenay, on Saturday, August 28th, 2004 @ 12:00 noon. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the home care nurses and workers, Dr. Aldis and all the family and friends who have supported us the past few weeks.
