HOWELL, James
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father and grandfather James William Howell, who passed away on Tuesday, June 1, 2010 with his family at his side.
He was born on October 11, 1933 in Vancouver, BC and grew up in Steveston, BC with his parents and 1 sister.
Jim moved to the Comox Valley in the 1950's where he married Flo and helped raise his family of 4 children. He spent many years commercial fishing and driving bus for Watson & Ash.
He enjoyed playing pool, travelling, hunting, history, and the hot weather. Our dad will be remembered for his funny sense of humor, happy, loving disposition and great smile.
He is survived by his 4 children and 6 grandchildren, Carol (Scott) Ashley, Michelle; Laura (George) Amber, Niklas; Heather (Randy) Tyler, Kirsten; Sonny (Lindsay); niece April (Doug) Shopland, nephew Kerry (Shelley) Frank, brother in law Norman Frank and many extended family and friends. We will never forget you dad.
He was predeceased by his loving parents, Frank and Vi and his beloved sister Barbara Frank.
There is no service or memorial by request.
