WILKES - James Stuart of Comox, passed away at St. Joseph’s Hospital on Wednesday, March 21st, 2007, following a long struggle with cancer. Jim will be terribly missed by his loving wife of 42 years Bente; daughter Jennifer (Paul) Walter and grandsons Sean, Ryan and Brendan; sisters Anne Landry and Linda Dawe, as well as brothers Bill Wilkes and Donald Wilkes. He was predeceased by his 22 year old son James Raymond Wilkes in 1987, and by his parents.
Jim enjoyed a 30 year career with the Air Force and the fifteen years of his retirement were spent on his sailboat, The Pat Hand, and having many good times with his “boat buddies” at the marina. Special thanks to those who provided Jim with excellent medical care throughout his illness.
A gathering of family and friends to celebrate his life will take place in “The Garden Room” of COMOX VALLEY FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORIUM, 1101 RYAN ROAD at 1:00 pm on Thursday, March 29th.
