It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved wife and mother. Janet passed away in her sleep at Royal Jubilee Hospital in Victoria on April 5, 2006. Her husband Eric with whom she had a loving and happy marriage of 43 years survives her. She is also survived by her children Elaine (Ken), Lyle (Owen), and Michael (Tara), grandsons Christopher, William, David, Nicholas and Darren, and granddaughter Kai. Janet was born in Cumberland, the only daughters of William (Bill) and Margaret (Maggie) Logan. Janet dedicated her life to taking care of her family. She was happiest when she had large gatherings of family and friends at her and Eric’s home. She worked for many years in Comox in the food service sector where she enjoyed meeting and interacting with customers and co-workers. Once retired Janet spent her time happily watching over and caring for her grandchildren. Janet will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
The family expresses their gratitude for the compassion and professionalism of the ICU staffs at both St. Joseph’s Hospital in Comox and Royal Jubilee Hospital in Victoria. They request that in lieu of flowers donations be made in Janet’s name to the Victoria Easter Seal House, 2095 Granite St., Victoria, BC V8S 3G5. There will be no formal funeral service, instead a gathering of friends and family was held to celebrate Janet’s life at Eric and Janet’s home Saturday, April 8, 2006 from 1 to 4pm.
