Jennifer of Black Creek passed away suddenly on Thursday, April 20, 2006. She is survived and will be dearly missed by her loving family: husband Gerald P. Koopmans & son Benjamin T. Koopmans; parents Eleanor and Harold Walker; parents-in-law Johanna and Jelte Koopmans; brother Norman Walker; sisters-in-law Bernarda Truscott, of Port McNeil, Jeanette Koopmans, of Victoria, and Christine Koopmans, of Victoria; nieces and nephews Tammy Truscott (Steve Brooks), Bonnie Truscott (Tom Dawson), Dianna Truscott (Cary Kerr) and Amanda Koopmans; brothers-in-law Gary Truscott, of Port McNeil and John Koopmans, of Victoria; great niece Madelyn Kerr and great nephew Ryland Kerr.

Jennifer was known for her volunteer work with the Comox Valley Therapeutic Riding Society and her love of animals especially dogs and horses. In her leisure she enjoyed nature, photography, jewellery making and reading.

A Service of Remembrance will take place on Saturday, April 29, 2006 at 1:00 pm from St. George’s United Church with the Reverand Neil Lemke officiating. Arrangements entrusted to COMOX VALLEY FUNERAL HOME, 1101 RYAN ROAD, COURTENAY. For those wishing donations in Jennifer’s memory to the Comox Valley Therapeutic Riding Society, P.O. Box 3666, Courtenay, B.C. V9N 7P1, would be appreciated.
