1905 - 2002
Passed away peacefully at Glacier View Lodge on March 18th. Jessie was predeceased by her husband Arthur Richard in 1975 and her son Thomas Eric in 1994. She is survived by her daughters: Maureen (Don) Everett and Madge (Ron) Bowers; grandchildren: Warren, Ricci and Darryl; great grandchildren: Colin, Christopher, Bryce, Veronica, and Emily; sister Gwen Allen of Rainham Essex, England; niece Joan Statham of Lymm, Cheshire, England; and nephew, Ernest Gargrave Martin of East Grinstead, England.
Jessie was born in Belfast , N. Ireland. In 1912 her family moved to England where she met her husband and raised her family. Their children emigrated to Canada and Jessie and her husband followed in 1954. They settled in Vancouver and later retired to Maple Ridge where her husband died. In 1991 Jessie moved to Comox to join her daughter Madge and son-in-law Ron.
She made lots of friends, some initially through D’Esterre Seniors Centre, later through other interests and was loved by all who knew her.
Grateful thanks to her doctor and friend David Bowler and to all the staff at Glacier View for the kind care and attention given to Jessie.

Following Cremation, a Memorial Service will take place on Thursday, March 28 at 2:00 pm from the CHAPEL OF THE COMOX VALLEY FUNERAL HOME and CREMATION SERVICES, 1101 RYAN ROAD, Courtenay.
