Joan Florence M Holtum
1920 - 2002
Passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Comox on Wednesday, January 30th, 2002 at the age of 82.
Joan was born in Sheffield England, January 29th, 1920. Predeceased by her loving husband Leslie William Holtum of 53 years on September 12th, 1992.
She is survived by her son Leslie Frederick (Maureen) Holtum; grandchildren: Leslie Eugene Holtum, Michael (Lynn) Holtum, and Heather (Michel) LaFleur; great grandchildren: Isabel, Zachary, Emma, baby LaFleur and Christopher, all of Ontario. Her daughter Louise (Terry) Walters; grandchildren: Lisa (Van) Tang, Terrence predeceased in 1977; great grandchildren: Daniel, Si-mun, Kate-Lien, Mandy and Jonathan, all of Courtenay, B.C.
Originally from Victoria, Joan moved to Courtenay September, 1992. Joan will be lovingly remembered by family, friends, and all who knew her.
Funeral service was held at Comox Valley Funeral Home, Monday, February 4, 2002 with Reverend Lance Woods officiating, Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to a charity of ones choice.
