ADAM, Joan Isabel
March 31st, 1924 ~ April 27, 2010
Joan passed away peacefully at St. Joseph's Hospital, Comox, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Cumberland, England and recently a resident of Cumberland, BC, Joan was predeceased by her four brothers and her husband Allan. She is survived by daughter Caroline, son Ian and wife Linda, grandsons Paul (Angela) and Douglas (Rochelle), plus six great grandchildren.
Joan conquered many challenges in her life. In spite of that she dedicated her life to helping others, including her family, and her work as a Registered Nurse. She always enjoyed life to the fullest, made the most of every day, and her sense of humour was indomitable.
Special thanks to the staff at Cumberland Lodge and at St. Joseph's Hospital for their dedication and compassionate care.
At Joan's request there will be no service. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
