Allen - John “Jack” Christopher, born in Montreal, November 15, 1945, passed away at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Comox on December 9, 2001 at the age of 56 after a long illness. Jack was a good man, a music lover, an avid gardener, an enthusiastic cook and creative baker, and always at his happiest when outdoors - no matter what the weather. Words aren’t adequate to describe our loss. Jack leaves behind his wife of 31 years, Tuula and his son Chris, his parents Norma and Chris Allen and sister Marian and family in Ottawa, his brother Steve and family in Courtenay. We thank Jack’s friends and neighbours for their generous assistance throughout his illness. We were honoured to have Mike build the beautiful cedar casket, Monika to guide us through unknown territory, and Randy, Steve and Don for helping along the way. Thank you to Dr. Neilsen for many years of care and interesting conversations. Our gratitude to the 3rd Floor nurses and staff and Glennis of St. Joseph’s.
