CORBETT, John Albert

November 15 1959 ~ May 8 2010

It is with great sadness that my husband and best friend John Corbett passed on peacefully at home on May 8th with me by his side. The 3 years we were together were the happiest of my life! I will forever miss you and cherish you John. You will always be very close to my heart. Our dogs Bandit and Billy miss you too.

Your Loving Wife,

Forever and Always

Carla

John was born November 15, 1959 in Kirkland Lake, Ontario and moved to Courtenay with his family in the early 1960's. He was predeceased by his Dad, Jim Corbett in 1972; his Sister, Brenda Gee in 1989 and his Mom, Mae Corbett in 2003.

He will be greatly missed by his wife Carla Corbett of Comox, his son Kyle Corbett of Courtenay, sister Linda (Keith) McPherson of Delta, sister Sandra (Gil) Davidson of Courtenay, brother Jim (Lynne) Corbett of Woss, niece Darlene Tolmie of Courtenay as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives and good friends.

John worked in the B.C. Logging industry for 20 years, then moved to Alberta and drove Water truck on the Oil rigs for 12 years. He moved back to Courtenay a few years ago and met the love of his life, Carla. He was a devoted husband, father, brother and uncle. An avid camper, loved to fish Comox, Maple and Woss Lake with his brother Jim, spend time with his dogs and never missed a family dinner. His favorite saying was "Appreciate, Validate and Love the one your with Today.."

He will be remembered for his subtle sense of humor and his unconditional love of everyone he knew.

Family and friends are invited to come share memories and celebrate John's life Saturday June 5th 2010 at Aaron House Christian Fellowship, 2946 Kilpatrick Avenue in Courtenay, B.C. at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers a donation in John's name could be made to the local S.P.C.A.
