John Douglas
October 29, 1940 - May 1, 2009
Very much loved and never to be forgotten.
John said goodbye and flew home with the angels, after a brief and courageous battle with cancer.
John has been reunited with his parents, Gord and Eileen, brother Bert and sister Nancy Swan. John has left many happy memories with all who knew him. He will be truly missed by his daughter Jackie Emmerton of Walkerton, Ontario; son Shane (Angela) and grandson Cooper of London, Ontario; sister Helen Jean (Chris) of Toronto; brothers Lynn (Mary) of Stoney Creek, Manitoba, Terry (Elly) of Harriston, Ontario, Kenny (Glenda) of Massey, Ontario, Danny (Nancy) of Ripley, Ontario; as well as many nieces and nephews.
The Emmerton family would especially like to thank Dr. Hubner and the nursing staff at St. Joseph's Hospital for all the wonderful care and support, Comox Valley Home Care Nurses for your gentle kindness and assistance. All of John's "Seaview" family and friends, for all your support. A special hug for George, Carl, Laura, and Anne for looking out for Papa.
An intimate Celebration of John's life will be held, Friday, May 8, 2009 from 1-3 pm at the Seaview Village Hall.
