MacKenzie - John Kay of Comox, formerly of Vancouver, died at home on February 13, 2003. Predeceased by his loving wife Lois in 1988 and older sister Kathleen. John is survived by his devoted daughters Marcia Elmes (Steve), Anne, and Janet Johnson (Eric). Also survived by his sister Christine Teeling, of Phoenix, AZ. Sadly missed by grandchildren Graham, Spencer, Madison, and Skylar. Also nieces Jennifer Deane and Barbara Kulesa, nephews David, Chris, Mike, and John.
John was an active member of the square dance communities in Surrey/White Rock and the Comox Valley. Special note of appreciation to Dr. Cortez. Memorial Service at St. George’s United Church, 505 6th St., Courtenay at 2:00 pm February 22, 2003. Reception and tea to follow. Donations in John’s memory to the B.C. Cancer Foundation would be appreciated.
