Stan passed away with serenity and peace at home. Stan will be deeply missed by his wife June, two daughters: Lianne (Kim) Olsen of Maple Ridge, BC and Laurie (Dan) Lance, Carp, ON, five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren and joins his daughter Cathy Lynn (predeceased). Stan was born in Vancouver and retired from the Airforce after 35 years in 1994 from Ottawa to Miracle Beach. Stan returned to the island to live out his retirement fulfilling his dream of being a full-time golfer. In lieu of flowers donations to the Cancer Lodge in Victoria, BC in Stan’s name or donations to the Living Word Episcopal Church in Courtenay would be appreciated. Memorial Service to be held Wednesday, February 11, 2009 at 2:00 pm at The Living Word Episcopal Church.
