Regretfully we announce the sudden passing of John Z. Blower on December 10, 2004. He was born in Victoria December 8, 1907.

John’s wife Lois predeceased him by 40 days in their 75th year of marriage.

Red grew up in Victoria and Port Alberni where he and Sis were married in 1929. They had 6 children who survive him: Jack (Carolyn) of Grand Forks, Noreen (Ron) of Denman Island, Alan (Delores) of Campbell River, Ken (Sharon) of Princeton, Bill (Janet) of Westbank, Karen (Andre) of Courtenay. He also leaves a sister, Eleanor, of Killam, Alberta.

Red was predeceased by 2 brothers: Cecil & Tom, and sister Marguerite.

In 1949 Red, Sis & family moved to Peachland, and then Victoria. In 1989 they moved to the Comox Valley.

Red was an avid hunter, fisherman, and trap shooter. He will be remembered as an honest, intelligent, and hardworking man.

The family would like to thank Dr. Low for his many years of compassionate care. A family gathering will be held at a later date.
