Millard, Joseph Albert “Joe”

Joe of Fanny Bay, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, October 25th, 2004, at age 71. Predeceased by his sister Inez and grandson Jordon, he is survived and will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 50 years, Liz; sons Alan (Terry) Millard, daughter Denise (Gordon) Nitschke and son Ron (Gail) Millard; 6 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; his brother Harvey (Rose) Millard and numerous nieces and nephews. Joe and Liz retired to the Valley from Stettler, Alberta 18 years ago. Stettler residents will remember his many years of service with both the Fire Department and City Council. Locally he was an active member of the Union Bay Community Club. In his leisure, Joe practiced his artistic woodworking skills and was well-known for the quality pieces he created for both family and friends. A Service of Remembrance will take place from St. Peter’s Anglican Church, Comox on Wednesday, October 27th at 1:00 pm. Comox Valley Funeral Home & Crematorium, 1101 Ryan Road, entrusted with arrangements.
