MCLEOD - Joseph

(Little Joe)

August 19, 1924 - December 31, 2007

Dad began his life in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He was the youngest of six children. At seventeen and a half, he joined the Navy. He proudly served in the Second World War on the HMCS Kamloops. After the War, he continued serving his country in the Canadian Armed Forces. Dad will be sadly missed by his four daughters: Arlene, Wendy (Bob), Brenda (Don), and Jenny (Kevin); and his grandchildren: Jasmine, Mikaela, and Forrest. He will also be missed by his friend and dance partner, Irene Watson. Rain, sleet or snow, Dad could be found on the golf course. An accomplished golfer, dad scored two tournament holes in one (Winnipeg, 1945 and Comox, 1972). Dad was also an amazing swimmer and he passed his love of water onto all four of his girls. We miss you Dad.

A Celebration of his life and Poppy Tribute will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 17 at the Upper Hall on Friday, January 11th at 1:30 pm.
