Josie went to the Lord on August 18th, 2005 at Eagleview ECU in Comox with family at her side. She was born in Cumberland where she resided in the family home for 91 years before moving into Extended Care. Predeceased by her beloved husband Rod in 1999 whom she missed very much; brothers: Pete and Jack Pirozzini (Cumberland); sister Nellie Young (mainland); and nephews: Jack Young (mainland) and Gerald Perrin (Cumberland). She will be greatly missed, and always in the hearts of the many generations of nieces and nephews of the Pirozzini, Young and Perrin families. A devoted Christian, Auntie took pride and pleasure donating time throughout her life time to support the needs of the Catholic Church, and was a sponsor of the Christian Children’s Foundation. She will be fondly remembered by her neighbours in Cumberland, fellow parishioners and many dear friends throughout the Valley.
The families wish to extend much gratitude to all who cared for her and the kind and caring staff, nurses, and volunteers at St. Joseph’s ECU over the past 2 1/2 years and especially during her last days.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, August 27th at 11:00am from Christ The King Roman Catholic Church, by Father Paul Murphy. Comox Valley Funeral Home and Crematorium, entrusted with arrangements.
