Joyce was born July 26th, 1924 in Hull East Yorkshire, England and passed away peacefully on
August 17th, 2006 at Extended Care, St. Joseph’s Hospital. She is survived by her husband of 61 years Alf; daughter Diane Caddell (John); grandson John Caddell (Nell); granddaughter Jennifer Caddell; great-grandchildren: Amelia and Easton, all of Courtenay. Joyce served for six years in the Airborne Forces in England. She emigrated to Canada in 1966 and later joined the Royal Canadian Legion. Joyce was a member of a darts team and her nickname was "Chucker". She was a wonderful grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
