Born in Champion, Alberta 1917
Kathleen passed away peacefully at the Peace Arch Hospital in White Rock, B.C. on April 8 with her family by her side. Predeceased by her brother Bill and mother & dad, Mabel and Abe Orr. Kay is survived by her husband Charles of 65 years and her three daughters, Rachelle & Toupie, Laurette & Frank, Denise & Steve. Also left to mourn are her cousins here in the Valley, Gloria & Fred Thatcher, Gail & George Nasadyk, Darcy (Orr) Kraushar & Shirley (Orr) Pebernat. You may remember Kay - the pretty girl that took your tickets at the Bickle Theatre (now the Syd) - she spent many years as a tour guide with her husband seeing the world. Also her grandparents owned a small farm on 4th Street here in Courtenay - now 2 large apartment buildings are on that location.
Also her father Abe Orr and the Orr family donated property known as Elks Park at Kye Bay for all of you to enjoy.
Kay, you will be greatly missed by all of us who love you.
