Ken passed away peacefully in the gentle care of the Nurses on the 3rd floor of St. Josephs Hospital in Comox.

He is survived and will be dearly missed by his best friend and loving wife Bonnie, his children Dave (Judy & Cody) of Courtenay, Keith of New Westminster and daughter Jeanette (Brad) of Port Hardy, Brother-in-Law Earl McCall, Niece Narissa Mackenzie, Sister-in-Law Lea (Jack) all of Nanaimo. He is predeceased by his mother, brother, sister, and nephew.


Ken was with the Merchant Navy for seven years then decided to return to logging on the West Coast in the early 60’s. After spending 40 years working in the Logging Industry in Port Hardy and area, Ken and Bonnie moved to Courtenay to officially retire in 2004. Ken’s passions were boating and camping.

As per Ken’s wishes, , there will not be a funeral service.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Joseph’s palliative ward upgrade or a charity of your choice.
