Noble, Lauri Lynn

July 18, 1953 - Feb 2, 2006

Surrounded by her family Lauri passed away at home after a courageous battle with cancer. Predeceased by her father Charles Davis and mother Margaret Davis. She is survived and will be greatly missed by her partner and best friend David Rye; devoted children: Kevin (Kylie), Jonathon (Daniela) and Melissa; brothers: Alvin (Joanne) and Larry (Janis); sisters: Sharleen (David), Judy (Ron) and Shauneen (Richard); special inlaws Donald and Laura Rye; as well many other family members and caring friends.

Lauri was born and raised in Cumberland where she spent her later years happily living in the house she grew up in, on Comox lake. She liked nothing more than to fish in the bay and to spend summer days visiting with friends, watching her family enjoy the beautiful place she made home. Many will miss Lauri’s unique laugh that would echo across the lake and could be heard by all on those long summers days.

Thank you to the dedicated medical team who helped support the family through this time, significantly Dr. McLaughlin and the caring team of nurses and home support, as well the dedicated people from the Comox Valley Hospice Society. A heartfelt thanks to all who shared encouragement, brought meals, and sent the many wonderful care packages, your kindness helped during this difficult time.

There will be no service by request; Lauri’s ashes will rest with her mother’s in the Cumberland Cemetery.

In memory of Lauri, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Vancouver Island Health Authority - “Courtenay Community Hospice Palliative Care Team,” 941A England Ave., Courtenay, BC V9N 2N7.

Arrangements entrusted with Piercy’s Funeral Home.
