BEAULIEU
Leo Joseph
1932 - 2008
After a courageous battle with cancer, Leo passed away peacefully at home on Monday, August 11, 2008 with his wife of 54 years by his side.
Predeceased by his sons Steven and Brian, he will be dearly missed by his wife Freda, son Randy (Heather), daughter-in-law Cindy (Gary), grandsons Steve (Keely), Scott, Derek (Jessica), and three great-granddaughters. Also survived by his brothers Maurice (Joan), Gene (Kay) and sister Yvonne (Roy).
Born in Flin Flon, Manitoba, Leo served time in the military before returning from the service to marry his hometown sweetheart, Freda. Together they moved to the Comox Valley in 1960, where they started their business, Central Furnace. That evolved into a family business, Living Lighting, which his family now operates as The Lite Shop.
A Celebration of Life will take place on August 23, 2008 at 1:00 pm at the Florence Filberg Centre. Should friends wish, a donation to the Comox Valley Recovery Centre, 641 Menzies Ave., Courtenay, BC would be appreciated.
