LESLIE WILLIAM JAMES, MBE

Beloved husband of Phyllis of Comox. B.C. Predeceased by his late wife, Marion, U.K. Dearly loved by his extended family, Margaret and Dave of Comox, Julie and Jeff of Ontario, Ken and Angie of Ontario and Ian and Marie of Vancouver. Leslie is survived by his children Michele (Mick), Michael (Hayley), Leslie (Susan) and Sandra (Will) of UK; his brother Ron (Ann) Australia, sister Jean (Dave) UK, as well as several half-sisters, nieces, grandchildren and great-grandchildren in the U.K. His illustrious career was divided for over 40 years between the military and H.M. Prisons. He was the recipient of the Medal of the British Empire awarded to him by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth at Buckingham Palace for his services to the Crown. He was so very proud to be a member of 888 (Komox) RCAF Wing in Comox and Branch 160, Royal Canadian Legion. A Celebration of Leslie's life will be held at 1:30 pm on Wednesday , 25th June 2008 at 888 (Komox) RCAF Wing, 1298 Military Row, Lazo, BC. In lieu of flowers donations to 386 Sqn. Air Cadets will be gratefully received.
