1922 ~ 2006
Lew passed away peacefully in his sleep on March 8th, 2006. He was predeceased by his wife Joan and will be fondly remembered by his daughters Ann Defeo (Ted), Carol Merkley (Dave), Dianne Robertson (Mike) and his sons Brian (Heather), Terry (Louise), 12 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, sister Elva Juba (Mac), brothers Ken (Tis) and Ron (Gloria).
A WWII veteran Lew moved to Comox from Quebec only a few years ago but felt right at home here and enjoyed spending time at the Comox Legion where he won many meat draws and was dubbed “Lucky Lew”.
Golf had long been his passion and he was still playing last year. We would like to thank the Home Care Nurses and Home Support team who provided such wonderful care for Dad.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Comox Legion on Friday, March 17, at 2:00 pm. Refreshments to follow. COMOX VALLEY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORIUM, 1101 RYAN ROAD entrusted with arrangements.
