Loren was born in Port Alice on September 29, 1966. He grew up dreaming of being in the RCMP. He did join the RCMP Auxiliary but earned a living as a heavy-duty Mechanic.
Loren was a wonderful husband and devoted father. He is survived by the love of his life, Tammy, 3 daughters Kierra, Kaitlin and Jocelyn, grandson Elliot, father Ken Nickerson, mother Lorraine Rommel (Lyle), brother Corey Nickerson (Chrystal) and sister, Rhonda DeGrace (Roger), 8 nephews and nieces Michael Jesse, Shaillee, Tabby, & Mikaila DeGrace, Darian and Branden Nickerson.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be to the BC Children’s Hospital or YANA on line in Memory of Loren.
A celebration of Loren’s life was held on Friday, May 26th, 2017 at Comox Valley Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre, 1101 Ryan Road, Courtenay.
