SCHNARE - Lorimer Seymour “Larry”, 86, of Coldbrook, Kings County, Nova Scotia passed away Sunday, June 8, 2008 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Canada Creek, he was a son of the late Arthur and Nettie (Baltzer) Schnare. He was a veteran of the Second World War and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Kings Branch No. 6, Kentville. Following the war, he had been employed with the Liquor Control Board for the Province of Ontario, from where he retired. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Woodstock,Ontario and enjoyed fishing, bowling, curling, playing cards, hunting, gardening, art work and collecting coins. He was the beloved husband of Irma (McKee) Schnare and the beloved father of Barry (Janet), Wooler, Ontario; Carl (Carole), Edmonton, Alberta. He is also survived by a sister, Doris McGee,Peterborough, Ontario; a brother, Barry (Phoebe), Woodstock, Ontario; three grandchildren, Stephanie, Lori and Jamie; three great grandchildren, Jessica, Victoria and Gabriel; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Frederick and Cecil; a half-sister, Madeline Baltzer; a half-brother, William Baltzer. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the Royal Canadian Legion funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 10, 2008 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville. Burial will take place in theBerwick Cemetery. A reception will follow in the Royal Canadian Legion, Kings Branch No. 6, River Street, Kentville.
