Lou was a WWII Vet, long time Legion member, President, Vice-President, Secretary and Treasurer of both the Black Creek Lions and the Qualicum Bay Lions. Lou and Tillie owned and operated the Merville Store from 1975 thru 1983, tried retirement for a couple of years then bought the Georgia Park Store in Bowser in 1985 to present.

His sense of humor and panache for life will be missed. He was a good father and husband. He loved fishing.

He’s now with Al, Baba and Paul having a good chuckle.
